The Centres History.

Widnes Holistic Centre was opened in Market St. Oct.1996 by Julie Edwards.  Julie, an ex nurse, felt there was a lack of complementary medicine in the Halton area, so she decided to do something about it.  She was joined at this time by Andrew Shutt, a Sports Therapist, for the treatment of injuries. Who specialises in back problems!

Over the years Julie has hand picked the therapists, and managed to build up a team with various skills, to realise the Centres name of being truly holistic!  The team work together utilising each other's skills and experience when needed.

What does "Holistic mean?" Well if you have high blood pressure the doctors can give you pills to reduce it. That's good but we will ask "Why?" is it high? Is it due to stress at home or in the work place or maybe just because the body is reacting to your environment? We will endeavour to find out that "WHY". On the same note you may have been diagnosed with a "slipped disc", great, but our back specialist Andrew Shutt will tell you why it "slipped" in the first place! So really Holistic boils down to meaning, treat the cause of the problem and not the problem alone. If you have a back problem ask for an apointment with Andy.

Due to the popularity of the Centre, beauty therapies are now available along with the newly aquired St Tropez tanning booth.   Should you visit, you will receive a warm and friendly welcome in a relaxed atmosphere, where you can browse the products on display with no pressure to buy.

Besides the therapies and products, vouchers (in gift cards) are available, so if you want to treat that special person to an aromatherapy massage you can present them with a wonderful experience.  Vouchers obviously can be used to buy any product in store as well as redemption against the various therapies.
